Charlie Pitcher, endurance athlete, ultra marathon runner, professional sailor and ocean rowing world record holder is coming to Shantou University to share stories from the world of ocean rowing, dubbed the most enduring adventure one can do. Charlie will talk on the history of the sport, how it’s changed and where it is today. He will talk about the highs and lows of setting ones targets and of rowing the Atlantic in a world record time of 35 days. He wants to share his enthusiasm and love of the sport, to show that anyone and everyone has what it takes to row with the right commitment and determination.
